You may be familiar with Chromotherapy, a therapy in which color is used to establish balance and harmony in the body, mind, and emotions, but what you may not know is that you can use all the energy of colors in the design of a mandala.

Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means circle. Each mandala creates an intense field of energy and magnetism, in which by working the colors we can seek self-knowledge, well-being, balance, and relaxation.

If we look around us, we can find mandalas everywhere, in flowers, in shells, in stars, in fruits like a kiwi or an orange for example. Do an exercise and observe everything around you, mandala shapes are everywhere.

In the East, the Tibetans believe that the mandala brings the knowledge to reach enlightenment in this life, while the color represents a state of mind and brings to the individual a meaning for that moment of his life.

What colors do you need at this moment?

Many emotional states are demonstrated in the colors of a mandala, by the work of observation, meditation, or painting of the mandala itself. We bring to our consciousness answers to our questions or quiet our mind, thus improving anxiety and stress states.

And how to get a mandala or even draw it and know what colors you are needing in your present moment of life? You can learn to draw and paint a mandala through a course, look for mandala images in books or websites, or buy them in Indian or esoteric products stores.

How you color it is up to you: with colored pencils, colored pens, crayons, or even computer software, if you are skilled at it. You will find that it is like being a child again, playing with shapes and colors.
